- If your browser opens to the Firefox home page when launched, restoration of your most recent tabs is just a click away. Use the “Restore Previous Session” button on the bottom of the home page. You won’t see this option if you’ve selected another site to appear each time you open your browser.
- You can also restore your previous session through the Firefox administrative panel. Go to the “History” link and then choose “Restore Previous Session.”
Automating the Process
- If you want your previous session restored every time you open Firefox, you can set this up through the Firefox administrative tools. Go to the “Options” section and then click the “General” tab. Set the “When Firefox starts” line to “Show my windows and tabs from last time.” Click “OK.”
- When you set your Firefox to automatically restore sessions on startup, it may keep you logged into websites you were using the last time you closed the program. If another person has access to your computer and launches Firefox, they could access accounts you were logged into.
